What is pallet restacking?

Pallet restacking – also called re-palletizing, freight restacking, or load restacking – is the process of manually rebuilding a pallet or full truckload that has become unsafe to handle with standard equipment.
A load qualifies for restacking when:

• Product has shifted, leaned, or fallen during transit and can no longer be safely moved by forklift
• Pallets have collapsed under weight or because of improper stacking at origin
• A distribution center has refused or rejected the delivery due to load instability
• Cases are damaged or the pallet configuration doesn’t meet retailer compliance standards

Our team manually breaks down the distressed load, inspects product condition, rebuilds each pallet to a stable and shippable configuration, and re-wraps and secures everything so it can go straight back into your supply chain.

When do you need restacking?

Collapsed or fallen pallet

Heavy loads packed at the wrong layer height, insufficient wrap, or damage in transit can cause entire pallet stacks to fall.
A collapsed pallet restacking job restores stability before the product can be safely handled or stored.

Shifted load

Long-haul routes or sudden stops can cause freight to slide out of square inside the trailer.
Shifted load restacking corrects the configuration so the load can be backed into a dock and unloaded normally.

Rejected or refused truckload
